Finding a Cure for Jamilia

 This is Jamilia, a 19 year old young lady who has been battling cancer since the tender age of 8. She was first diagnosed with a rare granulocytic sarcoma, a chloroma that would culminate into AML or Acute Myelogenous Leukemia. She received extensive chemotherapy treatments for 4 months to eradicate the cancer. After 4 months, the cancer was miraculously eradicated but the treatment had damaged Jamilia's heart so badly that she had to receive a heart transplant at age 9. After transplant, Jamilia was diagnosed with yet another cancer, Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma at age 10. Chemotherapy was once again the treatment but this time it did not work. Jamilia has been on palliative treatment for 9 years, receiving chemotherapy every 2 weeks since then.
 Jamilia and her family were hoping and praying that an experimental Gene and Cell Therapy that has had great results but it is only available in Seoul, Korea would be the answer to curing her. They funded the blood testing and unfortunately the tests showed Jamilia's genes would be resistant to every treatment that is available. Disheartening news to say the least  We are still praying for a cure and we believe As Long As There Is Life, There Is Hope!!!
